One of the nice things about tearing a house apart and rebuilding it is that you can design-in features that make your life easier down the road. That's what happened here: This part of our house was originally supposed to be a fireplace. But just when that started to look a bit too pricey, a friend announced that he was selling the rack from his video production studio.
We bought it, then built an alcove around it (with lots of power, data, and coax connections hidden in the wall behind). Handy-dandy. The top part, however, is a bit too high for daily/ergonomic use, so I've been on the prowl for random rack-mounted electronic thingys to install up there, if only to look interesting.
That quest led me to my new Radiac, yesterday. In addition, I also found a few new pieces of archaic electronic gear to fill in the top section of the rack. Check the notes to find out what each thingy is.rack mount cassette
